Oct 23 Feta Stuffed Chicken Burgers
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. Tyson Ground Chicken, or other brand
- 1 tbsp fresh oregano
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 7 tbsp. feta cheese, crumbled
- 4 small wheat pita(s)
- 4 pieces lettuce, romaine
- 4 pieces jarred roasted red peppers (water-packed), sliced
- 5 small black olives, sliced (about 4 tsp.)
Preparation:
Mix chicken, oregano, garlic powder and feta together in a medium- size bowl; divide mixture into four balls and then press them into patties.
Grill or broil until the internal temperature of the burgers reaches 165ºF, about 7 to 8 minutes on each side.
Serve each burger in a pita with a lettuce leaf, 1/4 of peppers and 1 teaspoon of olives.
